Union members often move between employers throughout their careers. Each new opportunity can mean another round of document requests, employment paperwork, onboarding requirements and administrative preparation.
DispatchReady Passport helps members build and maintain a secure Worker Readiness Profile so that appropriate information and completed readiness work can support future employment opportunities rather than being unnecessarily recreated every time.
01
How It Works
The journey can begin whenever a union member discovers DispatchReady Passport. A dispatch is not required to build the profile—it activates the profile for a real employer.
The worker first receives clear information about the service and remains in control from the beginning:
- 01Learn about DispatchReady
- 02Choose to build a profile
- 03Securely organize readiness
- 04Receive a dispatch
- 05Forward the dispatch to JEMs
- 06Confirm what changed
- 07Authorize the employer
- 08Begin Day 1 further ahead
Participation is voluntary. The member builds a reusable readiness foundation, then authorizes each employer-specific release.
Once participating, the member can securely organize relevant documents and complete as much of the administrative readiness journey as practical before arriving at the employer. When information needs to be provided to an employer, the worker authorizes the release.
The two decisions are deliberately separate:
First: Do I want to participate? Later: Do I authorize this information to be released?02
One Invitation. Two Doors.
A union dispatch invitation gives the member two clear choices without changing the union's existing process.
Learn More and Build My Profile
The public page explains the service, worker control and what happens next. The member may register now—even before a dispatch.
BUILD MY NEW DISPATCHREADY PROFILE →Activate My Readiness
Confirm what changed, provide updates only when needed, and authorize JEMs for the named employer.
I am a member with a Dispatch/Profile Update →The union keeps dispatching normally. The member chooses their door. JEMs handles everything after the click.
03
Built Around the Member
DispatchReady Passport is not designed to replace the union's dispatch process.
It begins where dispatch leaves off.
The goal is to give members an ongoing readiness service that can help them:
- Spend less time repeating administrative work.
- Securely organize important readiness information.
- Complete as much as you can once, then authorize release to the right department and keep your sensitive information secure.
- Arrive better prepared for new employment opportunities.
- Maintain control over when their information is shared.
- Build a Worker Readiness Profile that grows throughout their career.
The union continues doing what it already does well. DispatchReady Passport helps improve what happens for the member after dispatch.
04
Built to Support the Union
DispatchReady Passport gives unions a practical way to extend member support beyond the dispatch itself—without replacing or disrupting the union's existing dispatch process.
The union continues doing what it already does well: representing members, connecting qualified workers with opportunities and managing dispatch according to its established procedures.
DispatchReady helps strengthen what happens next.
The service can help unions:
- Provide members with practical support after dispatch.
- Help members arrive better prepared for employment opportunities.
- Reduce repeated administrative frustration across future dispatches.
- Offer a consistent readiness pathway without adding another process for union staff to manage.
- Strengthen the value members receive from their union relationship.
- Support a more professional transition from union hall to employer.
- Build greater confidence among employers receiving dispatched members.
DispatchReady does not ask the union to become an onboarding administrator.
The union creates the opportunity. DispatchReady helps the member prepare for it.
The result is a stronger connection between dispatch and employment—while the union's role, relationships and existing procedures remain intact.
05
One Profile. Many Dispatches. A Career of Readiness.
A member's first experience with DispatchReady Passport creates more than a package for one employer. It begins a continuing readiness relationship.
As the member moves through future opportunities, their profile can be maintained and updated. New readiness information can be added while existing information does not need to be unnecessarily recreated.
Every new opportunity should begin further ahead than the last one.
06
Worker Control Is Fundamental
DispatchReady Passport is built around informed worker choice. The worker chooses whether to participate. Sensitive documents are handled through secure processes rather than ordinary intake forms. A worker's information is not released to an employer simply because the worker has been dispatched.
The worker remains in control of their information and authorizes its release.
This principle is central to the entire model.
07
The Technology Behind the Service
DispatchReady Passport uses secure, well-established technology to support the Worker Readiness journey—from information collection and document handling to completion, authorization and secure release.
The technology works quietly behind the process. Its purpose is to help create a secure, organized and dependable experience for workers, unions and employers.
Because the technology is not the product.
Paperwork is the task. Readiness is the value.
Everything behind DispatchReady Passport exists for one purpose: to help workers become as ready as practical for their next employment opportunity.
08
Built to Learn
DispatchReady Passport is built around a simple operating principle:
The workflow is never sacred. The outcome is.
We are building a better Worker Readiness experience—and improving it as we learn.
